Mississippi River Eagles

We LOVE the abundance of wildlife we are able to see near Nauvoo. There is a bird refuge along the Mississippi, and in the past couple of weeks we have seen dozens and dozens of magnificent eagles.

They look bald, since their heads are white, but they truly are spectacular to watch. Besides the eagles, we have seen heron and pelicans, as well as more "common" birds like geese, ducks and so forth. We have seen deer and a young fox as well.
